Invitation-only referral network

More Referrals More Jobs

VendorRefer is the private referral network for residential contractors who want to hand customers to people they trust—and know the referral was taken care of.

  • Peer referrals
  • Lightweight CRM
  • Accountable follow-through

Built by contractors who got tired of saying, “Sorry, I don't know anyone who does that.”

VendorRefer was created by Jim, Joshua, and Manny after decades of combined experience in the sliding glass door and window industry.

We learned that doing good work leads to a problem most people never think about: once a homeowner trusts you, they start asking whom else they can trust. Too often, even experienced contractors have to send them away without a good answer. That experience became the inspiration for VendorRefer.

Trust should lead to a better answer.

Once a homeowner trusts your work, the questions start: Do you know a good roofer? A plumber? An electrician? Someone who can repair the pool, replace the flooring, or handle the next project?

We have had to answer, “Sorry, I don't know anyone,” and we have seen the disappointment on the homeowner's face. After earning their confidence, sending them away without a good answer never felt right.

Professionals whose reputation came before the invitation.

We know that every trade has professionals who have spent years developing the same kind of expertise and reputation we value in our own field. Those are the contractors and home-service professionals we want to bring together.

VendorRefer is not a pay-per-lead marketplace or an open directory. Every prospective member is reviewed before joining. That usually includes a brief conversation so we can learn about your business, the work you perform, and whether we share the same expectations for serving customers and fellow contractors.

A community works only when its members contribute.

We are looking for professionals who want to help homeowners find the right person, even when the work falls outside their own specialty. Members should be willing to give referrals as well as receive them, respond honestly when a job is not a fit, and treat another contractor's customer with care.

VendorRefer keeps those handoffs organized and visible. It records who sent the opportunity, who accepted it, and whether the referral became real work. The purpose is not to punish people or turn favors into fees. It is to build a community where contribution is recognized, relationships grow, and good work keeps moving forward.

How it works

Find the right vendor and refer them. We take it from there.

The sequence is simple. The tracking underneath helps keep the homeowner from getting stalled after asking you for a referral. If the first choice does not answer, the app keeps a clear path open to send someone else.

  1. 01

    Send a warm referral

The homeowner trusts your work but needs a trade outside your lane. Find the right pro and make the introduction from the app.

  2. 02

    Know it was answered

VendorRefer tracks acceptance and follows up when a referral stalls, so the introduction does not disappear into a text thread.

  3. 03

    Keep the relationship

Referral history, customer notes, follow-ups, and the reciprocity record stay organized around the people who did the work.

WHAT MEMBERS GET / TWO TOOLS, ONE HANDOFF

A referral network with a memory. A CRM without the clutter.

VendorRefer treats the handoff like real work, not a name and number tossed over the fence. The referral tools and lightweight CRM work together so the relationship stays organized before and after the introduction.

01

Warm referrals, not shared leads

Find a residential pro by trade, service, and coverage area—then hand the customer to one person you trust.

02

Accountable follow-through

See when a referral is accepted. If the first handoff stalls, VendorRefer keeps the recovery path visible.

03

A community with a memory

Referral history and the reciprocity record recognize contribution without turning a professional favor into a lead fee.

04

A lightweight CRM included

Keep customer records, attributed notes, referral history, and in-app follow-up reminders in one useful place.

Your vendor book, with a trusted network behind it.

Dispatch work to the vendors you already use and track their progress—or find a network pro when your book comes up short. Every work order shows when the vendor plans to arrive, without another round of voicemail.

Available only to approved property managers by invitation.

Questions from the field.

Four practical details members and property teams usually want to know.

COSTIs this another pay-per-lead marketplace?

No. VendorRefer is built around peer referrals, not bidding against other contractors for the same lead. Peer referrals and the lightweight CRM are free, so helping a homeowner find the right pro does not become another lead fee.

ACCESSWho can join?

The Florida founding network is invitation-only. Every prospective member is reviewed before joining, usually with a brief conversation about their business, their work, and the expectations of the community.

HANDOFFWhat happens after I send a referral?

The receiving pro is notified and their response is tracked. If the first handoff stalls, VendorRefer follows up and keeps a clear recovery path visible so the homeowner is not quietly left waiting.

PROPERTYHow does VendorRefer work for property teams?

Approved property managers can dispatch work to vendors they already trust or find a network pro when their vendor book comes up short. Property-management access is invitation-only.
